HAF Winter Project 2021
Black Sheep Collective’s Performing Arts Camp
On Monday 20th December through to Thursday 23rd December, Black Sheep Collective hosted their Christmas Performing Arts Camp, a HAF Winter Project, funded by Milton Keynes Council. Over the four day period, Black Sheep Collective were able to provide free arts activity and lunch for children from 5-10 years and 11-13 years who are in receipt of free school meals.
Twenty children took part in Black Sheep Collective’s Performing Arts Camp. They engaged in fun and festive performing arts activities; they danced, sang, and spread some Christmas cheer through their crafty creations before heading up to Bar Bar Black Sheep for a warm nutritional meal.
One very pleased parent commented: “My child had lots of fun. They loved the variety of activities on offer and enjoyed taking part in them all. They made friends and speak of going again when it is next on.”
We plan to run similar projects and activities over the next year and hope more children will be able to take part in this exciting opportunity.
Thank you to all the assistants, staff and volunteers who supported the project. Without you, it wouldn’t have been able to go ahead.
Black Sheep Youth Theatre are looking forward to starting a new term. There are a range of classes available for children from ages 5 all the way up to 18 years. Please contact Black Sheep Collectives’ Director of Theatre and Outreach Georgia at email@example.com for more information.
